We start with an intro call to learn about you and your dog, then come to your home for a complimentary visit where we meet your dog, see your space, and get the full picture. From there, we propose the program that fits your dog's needs and your lifestyle. 

Investment varies based on program type and duration, and we discuss it during your complimentary consultation. While we list programs and pricing on our site, we recommend a program based on what we learn during the complimentary evaluation. 

We offer an "unlimited" training style — meaning we use positive reinforcement, fair corrections, and the proper tools to communicate clearly with your dog. We meet each dog where they are and use what works for them. The goal is always a dog that's confident, not compliant out of fear.

Depending on the dog, their stage of development, and their behavioral needs, we may use a harness (smaller dogs or young puppies), flat collar, prong collar, or e-collar alongside standard equipment. Every tool is introduced thoughtfully and explained to you fully. We don't believe any tool is inherently harmful — we believe in using tools correctly, with intention, and always in the dog's best interest.

An e-collar (electronic collar) delivers a mild, adjustable stimulation to get your dog's attention — think of it less like a punishment and more like a tap on the shoulder. When introduced correctly, most dogs habituate to the sensation quickly and respond to it as a communication cue rather than a correction.

E-collars are particularly effective in three areas:

• Reactivity — the timing of the stimulation lets us interrupt the behavior at the exact moment it starts, before it escalates. Leash corrections often come too late; the e-collar closes that gap.
• Off-leash recall — a reliable way to reinforce the come command at a distance and under distraction, one of the most important skills a dog can have.
• Overall precision — because the stimulation is instantaneous, the dog connects the cue to the behavior far more clearly than with delayed corrections.

Every dog we work with goes through a careful conditioning process before we introduce the e-collar. It is never a first resort — it's introduced once the dog understands foundational commands and is ready to work at a higher level.

No — and we'd be skeptical of anyone who does. What we can guarantee is a real plan, consistent work, and teaching you how to maintain what we build together. Results depend on both of us doing our part. That's why every program includes handover sessions and alumni access — because the training doesn't end when the program does.

No. Dogs can learn at any age. Older dogs may take longer to build new habits, but they're absolutely trainable — and often more focused than puppies. We'll tell you honestly during the consultation what's realistic for your dog and what a successful outcome looks like.
